      • content<p>Lawrence Cordes, an ambitions young salesman with an Electrical Repair Company in the Toronto area, had aspirations of owning his own business. From a small beginning in an industrial unit in Scarborough, <strong>Lawrcon Electric &amp; Machining Corporation</strong> has grown to be one of the major repair facilities in the Greater Toronto Area. Lawrcon Electric and Machining Corporation began as a family business and the name "Lawrcon" utilizes the names of the founders, Lawrence and Connie Cordes. The family remains the mainstay of the company today.</p> <p>The "Lawrcon" facility is conveniently located in Pickering Ontario and is close to Highway 401 and 407. The central location and the close proximity to the main arteries through the GTA enables "Lawrcon" to easily service the entire Province of Ontario.</p> <p>Premier Quality and Service have been instrumental in the growth of the company and we take our ISO 9001:2000 very seriously. Quality Standards are maintained by employing people with extensive experience in the Industry: People who are able to combine the older techniques with the never, faster methods of repair. Technical personnel at Lawrcon can boast combined experience of over 200 years in "Electric Motor Repair".       • content<p>Lawrcon Electric and Machining Corporation is a privately owned business and is located at 1165 Squires Beach Road in Pickering, Ontario. We have been at this location for 17 years and on McKay Road in Pickering for 3 years prior. We are a fully equipped electrical service company with our main focus being electric motor and generator rewinding.</p> <p>Our Management has dedicated their working lives to the electric motor industry and offer a level of experience that is difficult to match in the industry.</p> <p><strong>Larry Cordes</strong> - Larry started in the electric motor business as a salesman with a lot of ambition and aspirations of owning his own electric motor/generator repair company. With that goal accomplished it was now time to grow the company into one of the most respected electric motor service companies in Southern Ontario.</p> <p><strong>Darin Cordes</strong> - General Manager - Darin followed in his father's footsteps and is taking his place in the company by beginning his electric motor career in sales. Darin looks after the Eastern part of Ontario and is now the General Manager of the company.</p> <p><strong>Graeme MacIver</strong> - Plant Manaager - Graeme manages the Operations Manager and Technical Services. Graeme also began his electric motor career as an apprentice with "British Electrical Repairs Limited", (BERL), in Glasgow, Scotland. In the 1960's BERL was the premier repair facility in the United Kingdom with Branches in Glasgow, London, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Cardiff and Aberdeen. With the apprenticeship over at 21 years old, Graeme spent the next 8 years on different sites throughout the United Kingdom rewinding 11,000 KV water wheel generators for the South of Scotland Hydro Electric Board, The North of Scotland Hydro Electric Board and the Central Electricity Generating Board in England, eventually supervising multiple sites where the rewinds were taking place. Graeme came to Canada at 29 years old and stayed in the Electric Motor repair business with Horizon Electric and Lawrcon. Graeme has never strayed from the Electric Motor Business and has dedicated his working life to the "Winding Business" for 42 years.</p> <p><strong>Harjeet Singh</strong> - Test Dept - Harjeet operates our Electric Test Facility and our Vibration Analysis Equipment. Harjeet worked in the Electrical and Mechanical equipment field in Singapore for 20 years before moving to the UK, while there he completed his Engineering degree.&nbsp; Recently he has added to his skills with Electrician licenses both Industrial and Construction and Maintenance.</p> <p><strong>Fred Rymill</strong> - Fred is our newest addition. He will join our Field Services Group as a Technician. Fred has been in the Electric Motor Service Industry for 27 years beginning in Sales. Fred is qualified in Electrical Testing and Assessment, and, will be taking an active part with our Predictive Maintenance Program.</p> <p><em>The Lawrcon Management team is among the most experienced personnel in the industry and is supported by extremely qualified and loyal plant personnel. The "Plant Personnel" boasts over 300 years of experience in the industry with many of our tradesmen having in excess of 15 years service at Lawrcon.</em></p>
